This diploma thesis deals with the topic of cross-curricular relationships between civics and geography in elementary school education. The aim of this work is to provide an overview of these interdisciplinary relations between both educational fields. This was achieved through a content analysis of the thematic units of the curriculum presented in the Framework Education Programme for Elementary Education. Based on the obtained data, the author designed eight model teaching units that were put into practice. Individual teaching units were subsequently evaluated. The main contribution of this work is finding numerous compatibility between both fields, which can be used in everyday pedagogical practice.
The Role of Teaching Practice in Development of Student of the Teachers Training for Primary School

The diploma thesis named Pedagogical practices and their tasks for primary school teachers' development deals with the topic of the pedagogical practices at colleges and universities. The thesis finds out the extent of students' being ready for carrying the practice out. The following task of the thesis is to describe what the students and beginner teachers think about the practice. The theoretical part is aimed at the pedagogical practice process and its connection with the primary teachers' education. Important part of the thesis is to compare the time extent of the practice at different colleges and universities. The practical part works with the qualitative research. The used methods for this part are questionnaire and interview. The pedagogical faculty students describe their experience with the pedagogical practices. The beginner teachers evaluate the level of the practices. Language Management of Secondary Education Teachers of Czech and Their Contribution to Forming the Standard Czech

This thesis analysis in social practise the Language Management Theory - it deals with pedagogical activity of Czech language teachers at secondary schools, based on corrections of writen language tests. The goal of this paper was to find out whether the norm of czech standard language which is contained in codices correspond with the norm that is presented by teachers. This thesis uses modern metdological approaches from the sociolinguistic sphere, especially the method of so called 'Follow-Up Interview'. It also uses the concept of the Social Power Field by Ulrich Ammon and the Language Management Theory by J. V. Neustupný as general methodological basis. As the source of information served authentic tests which has been filled by fifty students of a secondary school a and then corrected by eight czech language teachers. Other sources were Follow-Up Interviews with the teachers and questionnaires. On the basis of these sources the Language Management Theory was researched and also the idea of the teachers about the norm of standard language. This idea was compared to the opinions of other three instances of the Social Power Field. In cases there was something unclear the information were completed from the Follow-Up Interviews. The teaching of foreign languages and the process of preparation of teachers of foreign languages in the period 1990-2012

This work focuses on changes in teaching foreign languages and on new requirements for education and training of foreign language teachers after 1989, including a brief survey of the history of foreign language teaching and the development of teacher training. It observes changes in the area of learning objectives, changes in the teacher - pupil relationship, changes in work methods. It deals with a new approach to the selection and use of teaching materials and the inclusion of new technologies in teaching. It discusses the implementation of both the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and the European Language Portfolio. The work presents in the form of interviews also personal experience with teaching foreign languages and possible ways to achieve the required qualification.
The meaning of student teaching practice for entering the teaching profession

The aim of the presented work is to map the issue of pedagogical practice regarding its importance in the decision-making of future teachers about entering or not entering the profession, evaluate its benefits for students and outline possible changes in undergraduate teacher training. The presented text contains two main parts, namely the theoretical part and the practical part. The theoretical part consists of chapters dealing with the training of future teachers. The first chapter defines the key concepts in the field. The second chapter follows the general characteristics of pedagogical practice as an integral part of the study of teaching. The core of the text then consists of a passage, the content of which is specifically focused on the description of the special importance of the training of future teachers. The design of the research survey in the practical part is based on a qualitative methodology, primarily the use of the method of explanatory case study. Data collection is realized through semi-structured interviews with individual students, where a large amount of data is collected from a few respondents. Analysis of biology lessons focused on the professional vision a reflection of future teachers

Pedagogical practice is a substantial component in the education of future teachers, because during it, the specific knowledge that is important for the performance of the teaching profession are developed. This dissertation thesis is dedicated to professional vision and the ability to reflect by future biology teachers during their pedagogical practice. The thesis specifically deals with the analysis of individual reflections of students and observation interviews. The research is conducted using several studies. The first study was performed with the analysis of 130 written reflections taken before and also after individual watching video recordings of 65 students' own lessons. For the analysis of written reflections, the categorical system submitted by Sherin and van Es (2008) was used. For students doing their first practice at lower secondary school, a statistically significant shift across a wide range of professional vision categories was detected after watching a recording of their own lessons. This was unlike the students doing their second practice at upper secondary schools. Further analysis was carried out, and was aimed at deeper research into the nature of the evaluative statements. Teachers' Education of Preprimary, Primary and Secondary School - History, Present, Perspectives

The thesis is a theorethical study with the main theme of teachers' education. It is divided into five chapters. The first chapter describes world trends in the area of teachers' education which are being adopted in the Czech Republic. Next three chapters are focused on the education of each teachers' group - preprimary, primary, secondary school. Each of these chapters includes the historic context of teachers' education and the content of their education. Today's conception of school education is considered as the key faktor which should be reflected in present teachers' education. The fifth chapter contains the perspectives of future development of teachers' education.
